Unfortunately Nik Turner has had to pull out of this years Judge Trev Memorial gig, as he still needs to recover from his recent hip operation, and so has cancelled all his immediate shows until he feels fit enough to perform again.
The band will however continue to perform, now as the extended Judge Trev Band, playing many of the songs played in last year’s show and so will still have Inner City Unit’s Dino Ferari flying in from Italy on drums, and Nazar Ali Khan on bass, Dubbel’s Kev Ellis on vocals, harp and synths, Paradise 9’s Gregg McKella on guitar, clarinet and vocals, and Tyrone Thomas on lead guitar, Dr Enigma on bass and lead guitar and vocals, and Dangerous Dinky’s Richard Lanchester on djembe. And there may be more yet!
Also playing will be Jaki Windmill and friends, and local swamp psyche rockers Sumerian Kyngs featuring the Damned’s Monty Oxymoron.
We wish Nik a quick and comfortable full recovery and look forward to seeing him on stage again soon. We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to him, for supporting our Judge Trev Memorial gigs since Judge Trev’s 60th birthday party in 2010.
We appreciate, that those of you who have bought tickets and were hoping to see Nik perform, awill be disappointed, and so will offer a refund on your tickets. However, we hope you would still like to come along, as it will still be another special gig, where we celebrate both the music of Judge Trev And Nik Turner.
