We had so much fun back at the Albert last month with a great crowd turning out to enjoy 3 superb acts. Mark ‘Skid’ Edwards, aka Incubus Lovechild, wowed the sizeable hard core that arrived early with an inventive one man show of loops and electronic wizardry. Mark took us on a wild ride through the dimensions of his creative mind, sci-fi lyrical journeys, solid beats, spacial synths and intergalactic guitar work to the fore.

Unorfadox hit the stage next and didn’t let up with a power-popping punchy punk rock set that got everybody vibed up and energised. The charismatic Brian Jardine lead the charge, often off stage and deep in to the enthisiastic audience who gleefully chanted back the chorus lines whenver the microphone was thrust in their direction.

That could have easily capped off a stonking night and left everybody satisfied but you get full bang for your buck here at the Real Music Club and it wasn’t long before Paradise 9 were treating us once again to the epic space-punk rock anthems that grace the excellent ‘Welcome to the Future’ and ‘Science Fiction Reality’ albums. Momentum temporarily halted by a tech issue with Neil Matthars bass but the set rescued by a dynamite finish that got the RMC faithful bopping again.

Thanks to Nurse Moloney II for the fab photos and videos posted to our facebook page as ever!
We now look to carry on the good vibes through to the Brunswick where we are supporting Gregg McKella’s stellar solo show and on into next year where we are pleased to announce there will be RMC gigs at The Albert through the year and supporting Sean Wallis’ with his excellent Psyche Sundae sessions at the Green Door Store
